I’m so, so excited to be writing this post today. I’m so incredibly enthusiastic about this topic that I’ve just burst into song and done a little dance round my kitchen (seriously!)! Woohoo!
I think if you’ve been following my blog for a little while now you’ll know that I’m incredibly interested in Mind-Body Medicine and that ultimately when it comes down to it, this was the thing that was responsible for my healing. I’ve read countless books on the subject and I’m absolutely obsessed with it.
This week, MD Lissa Rankin published her amazing book ‘Mind Over Medicine’ (Hay House) and I’m currently half-way though reading it (I’ll publish a review next week).
This is the book you’ve been waiting for.
Lissa’s book gives scientific proof that you can heal yourself and so far has been absolutely fascinating. Her blog ‘Owning Pink’ has become an incredible, inspirational hub for people wanting to heal themselves the intuitive and intrinsic way and is loved by people all over the world.
I actually think I have a slight girl-crush on Lissa(!)! I find myself nodding my head furiously at ever page of this book and her story of how she got to these amazing realisations in truly fascinating and revelatory.
If you’re still not convinced that this Mind-Body thing can get you on your path to healing and living the life you want to live, I wholeheartedly encourage you to watch these 3 CFS videos. The first is of Lissa talking to the incredible Jonathan Fields at the Good Life Project about how she got to where she is today, and the other two are Lissa speaking at the (just-can’t-get-enough) TED Talk events.
I am in no way affiliated with Lissa, but I really wanted to you take time to watch these videos. They might just change your perception of healing.
Let me know what you think- so excited to hear your feedback!
Love and inner knowing,

(The last 20 minutes of the first video are golden!)
Very enlightening and really encouraging xxxx
Thank you Donna- so glad you enjoyed them!

Thank you Kaitie for sharing such an inspirational video. It seems everyday I’m receiving just what I need to read, hear, watch. As Lissa says in the last five min of first video, when one starts listening to our own voice/intuition one starts to heal. Her story is a healing story.
Hi Maitte!
Thank you so, so much for your comment- I’m really glad you enjoyed Lissa video. Isn’t she amazing?! The last few minutes of it are truly unbelievable. If there’s anything I’ve learned during my healing it’s that the right articles, books and videos always arrive when you need them.
Have a great day Maitte!
Love, Katie xx
I found the whole conversation truly amazing. Funny you say that the right stuff shows up when we need it. I’m reading another healing book that seems to be the precursor of Lissa’s book (in my opinion). It talks about the mind-body connection and how stress affects our system more than we or doctors think. How there seems to be a connection between stress, emotional repression and diseases like MS, ALS and even cancer. Reading this book I’ve been thinking, “I get this, I can see how this is true from my own experience, but what do I do to heal? And then today I heard of Lissa’s book and story.
Yes I agree, the last five min are crucial. Sometimes I have questioned if taking the time to heal is what a need to do now. Listening to those few mins reinforced that this is exactly where I need to be now. Staying still and listening to my intuition for healing.
Have a miraculous day too, Katie.
Love and kindness,
Maitte

He tells us how our thinking interfere on our health. And how genes can be altered for good if we choose to think and live in our own way. Highly recommended, and in the healing path I’m being through and your charming and encouraging blod does Katie. Thanks
