Useful CFS Links

Aaahh, the power of the internet. Some of you will know what it’s like, especially during the early stages of CFS, to not even be able to stand the light coming through closed curtains, let alone the light of a computer screen. But if you’re feeling strong enough, I thoroughly recommend these blogs and websites to help you get through the day. I’ve been a big fan of these websites and services for years, so they all come tried, tested and highly recommended.

Here are some useful CFS links:

Chronic Fatigue / M.E. / Fibromyalgia Links

best cfs websites

AYME (Association of Young People with M.E.)

I joined this amazing group when I was first diagnosed in the UK. It holds a very special place in my heart and it was an absolute godsend. They send out monthly magazines, all free of charge, packed full of drawings and stories from members. I was so honoured to be asked to be AYME’s librarian and loved sending out books and good wishes to members. There’s also a Serious Affected Members’ section (SAMS) and a Graduate group.

Emerge Australia

Full of useful links, as well as links to regional support groups and their associated sites. Lots of inspirational stories to be had here too!

CFIDS and Fibromyalgia Self-Help

A fantastic website for the later stages of CFS, offering free courses in helping you to pace your activities. I personally found this website very helpful and extremely comprehensive.

CFS Unravelled

My good friend Dan at CFS Unravelled has a fantastic website, full of recovery stories (including mine here) and information- really inspirational stuff. Have a look his book too.

CFS Health Centre

Based just outside Melbourne, Toby is doing some incredible work with CFS sufferers and it’s so inspiring to follow him on social media.

Blog inspiration

Caroline Myss

I credit Caroline with having an incredible impact on the way I viewed my illness. (Click here for more recommended booklist- you’ll see how many of her books I love!) Her insights are direct, but always delivered in just the right way. Astounding.

Tara Bliss

I find myself constantly inspired by Tara’s website. She is fearless, funky and fabulous and inspires thousands of people every day, and I’ve so honoured to call her my friend.

In Spaces Between

Beautiful name, beautiful blog, beautiful lady. Rachel’s site takes a big bite out of life and features gorgeous photos, inspirational articles and ideas for the dreamers amongst us. Going on her website is like breathing a huge sigh of relief…just lovely.

Connie Chapman

Connie’s blog and wise words always perk me up and leave me feeling unstoppable, yet centred. Her practical advice and tips are second-to-none, and I am truly grateful for being a part of the community she has created.

Danielle LaPorte

Every time I log on to Danielle’s website I get the wind taken out of me a little bit. She is overwhelmingly dedicated to helping you achieve your life’s goals and to help you connect with your highest self. Her videos pack such a punch that I find myself utterly speechless afterwards.

My Essential Sydney Hitlist

Ali Coleman

Having healing sessions with Ali was a complete game-changer for me. I wrote about our sessions here and if you’re in Sydney, you will not regret paying my beautiful friend a visit in either Balmain or Bondi Junction. She is such a gorgeous soul and you’ll walk out of session feeling like a different person. (You can thank me later).

Sydney Ka Huna Massage

Every time I go to see Elena at Sydney Ka Huna in Paddington for a massage, I know I’ll experience something incredible both during and after the session. I’ve had massages in the past before, but not like this. Now, I refuse to go anywhere else. Click here to read my review and here to go Sydney Ka Huna’s website.

Infinity Chiropractic and Health Centre

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been receiving kinesiology, acupuncture and N.E.T (Neuro Emotional Technique) from Dr. Damian Bell based in Balmain East, and the results in such a short space of time have been astounding. I genuinely can’t believe how much things have shifted in me (and more importantly how calm I feel about it all).

Alison Monaghan

I had a Skype session with Alison a little while ago, as I wanted to see if I could clear a ‘blocked’ memory I had with E.F.T. (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Matrix Reimprinting. Based in Freshwater, Alison has an incredible amount of experience with E.F.T. and the memory I wanted help with seems to have dissolved. Find her over at her website, HappiSoul.
